The All Star game: I can't stand to watch it

A FoxPolitics reader vented last night after turning off the All Star game in the 2nd inning. Mind you, this is by day, a kind, respectful, caring, helpful Clark Kent kind of guy. Really.
    Hi Jo,

I know you're a baseball fan, but don't know if you're interested in the All Star Game. I'm so irritated now. I turn on the TV in the 2nd inning, and the announcers are talking about the "pure joy" in some player's eyes as he got an autograph from B. Hussein O., and then after the commercial break, who is in the booth, but B. Hussein O.

CAN'T EVEN WATCH A DARN BASEBALL GAME WITHOUT SEEING THAT [GUY].

Right when a Brewer came to bat, too. They were too busy fawning on B. Hussein that they didn't even show Braun at bat (I suppose they did eventually, but not before I turned it off), or talk about Braun, just fawning and letting B. Hussein O. make a rock star appearance.

    DARN IT!!!

I just did some research, saw USA Today article that said Fox lobbied to get the BO into the broadcast booth. Well, I wish the TV ratings service would call me and find that I'm not watching the game.

What a country. Last week one day, on Limbaugh show, with a substitute filling in for Rush, a female caller called in, said she regretted voting for B.O., and her reasons for voting for him made me think some people should not be allowed to vote. She liked the fact of having a first "black president," liked the idea of "hope and change." Such shallowness and silliness. She sounded like a 7th grader voting for class president. So now we have a rock star president taking the spotlight away from Ryan Braun on what should be a politics-free event, while he is doing staggering damage to this country.
    And then later:
I just read something indicating that Bush may have thrown out a first pitch at an All Star Game. But did Bush make an appearance in the announcers’ booth and take away the spotlight from the players and the game?? If so, that would not have been good, either.

I'm just so sick of B.O., and detest all that he stands for and is doing, that it really upset me to see him in the announcers’ booth tonight.

Thanks for letting me occasionally vent my frustration.
I’m not sure what I would have done. Multi-tasking while baking and doing the dishes, I watched the opening ceremonies, saw Ryan Braun introduced as the cleanup hitter – that was cool. Wondered if Pujols is really a better first baseman and batter than Prince Fielder (Home Run Batting Champ!) or did Pujols start only because the game was in St. Louis? I enjoyed seeing Ozzie Smith join the All Stars (loved his acrobatics at shortstop as a fan in San Diego) and got goosebumps seeing 88-year-old Stan Musial wave ever so gently to the crowd. And yes, I noted President Obama’s rehearsed CoolMan jog to and from the mound. But after that, have to say I missed the ObamaTheatrics because I was too exhausted and apparently, thankfully, headed to bed.

Please don't blame Bambi the Grinning Ninny - he's only got a 4-year stint to get his licks in. Besides, he has no choice. He has to go where they put the teleprompter.

"Silliness and Shallowness", perhaps the author should look in the mirror. Someone who stoops to name calling and disrespect should refrain from calling the kettle black. This blog is an embarassment and should have never been posted. Jo, while I rarely agree with your politics this is a new low. I feel like I have landed back on my grammer school play ground with adult children that never took the time to mature.

Give me a break Billie. Your standards for 'a new low' are pretty low. Expose yourself to some of the trash out there on the left and the right. Lots of frustrated Americans. If you don't like it, as they say, turn it off.

I watched the whole game (and it was a good one). I, too, think our President is unworthy of the office and is a very dangerous man. He took full advantage of the showcasing opportunity of the All-Star game to score points with the pop-culture-infatuated voters who put him in office -- exactly like any skilled politician would. Did it anger me? You bet it did. But I will channel that anger into even more energy to defeat Obama and his minions and take the country back, and I suggest the original poster do the same. Go to the tea parties, fund conservative candidates, volunteer on campaigns, and be confrontive of people and policies who do the nation damage. Anger and frustration are understandable, but need to be turned into action leading to victory.

Sorry about the name calling, but I'm suffering from BDS - formerly "Bush Derangement Syndrome," now known as "Barack Derangement Syndrome." I find that annoying little whistle at the end of The One's sentences equates to the hiss of a snake. I don't like him; I never did like him; I consider him to be a corrupt Chicago Machine crook, and I can't wait for the opportunity to work as hard as possible to remove him from a job for which he's grossly unqualified.

I guess I don't need a bumber sticker that says, "Don't blame me...."

Two wrongs do not make a right. I long for a world that embraces civility and decency. The tit for tat nature of our current political environment does us no good. Name calling by anyone does not contribute to the common good. We have lost something in the DNA of our culture that has propelled us into a maelstrom of divisivness.

    Jo,

I had no idea you were a baseball fan. I have 4 tickets to the July 25th Brewer/Braves game.
I just gave two away this afternoon. Next time!

I too was sickened by Obama's takeover of the All Star game. I was pleased to hear the "boos" coming from the crowd, but it didn't make it much better for me. I had to listen to him for what I thought was MUCH too long.
Funny, the "two wrongs don't make a right" and the "can't we all just get along stuff" wasn't being spouted when Bush was in office. I'm tired of liberals who want us to sit by and watch this great nation collapse just because they can't admit they screwed up putting this man in office. He is by far the absolute worst president we've had. By the way, he used some pretty poor grammar while he was in the booth. I'm not sure if it was written that way on the teleprompter, but it was supposed to make him sound like "one of the regular people", I guess. All I know is that anything that didn't come out of George Bush's mouth just perfectly haunted him forever. With Obama, he's just cool when he speaks like he's not too far out of the hood.
I never thought I'd say this, but I'd give ANYTHING to see a Clinton in office right now.
