Kratz on disability leave?
Ok, so Kratz went on medical leave for an “undisclosed condition” September 20. Just what are his intentions?
Ken Kratz intends to resign before he can be removed as Calumet County’s district attorney for accusations of sending sexual text messages. “I’ve had recent contact with Mr. Kratz and he intends on resigning, but the date is not set yet due to medical criteria which may make a determination as to when that specific date will be,” says Robert Craanen, Kratz’ attorney.
I figured it was the apparently newly acceptable (?) Tiger Woods sex addiction schtick (Sex addiction – if there is such a thing – or excuse for cheating? - or as it were, an excuse for acting in a wholly unprofessional manner in your job) – going into ‘therapy’ as a reaction to total embarrassment – or the way to save one’s butt, one’s credibility, one’s reputation – you fill in the blank.
A friend suggested (tongue firmly planted in cheek?) maybe DA Kratz and his attorney have “some kind of duty disability-80%-salary-for-life thing.” Oh my. I wouldn’t put it past our world these days. But it’s a good question – what does Kratz have up his sleeve?
