FoxPolitics News going on hiatus
After 4 ½ years of daily news summaries, FoxPolitics is going on hiatus. Through thick and thin, I’ve been up at 2:30 weekday mornings, scouring Wisconsin politics and policy news and commentary to bring you the news you need to know and hopefully, news you enjoy reading.
I’ll be spending the month of February caring for my 92 year-old mother-in-law in Florida. Though I’ve published FoxPolitics News during family trips all over the country - and during earlier extended care visits to Florida, my mother-in-law is requiring ever more care and correspondingly, ever more time – hence this break in publishing FoxPolitics News.
The last edition of FoxPolitics News for now will be today, January 28. Many of you have multiple sources of news that you access regularly; in the next few days, I’ll share with you what I think are the best of the best, when you don’t have five or six hours every day to read the news! I’ve edited the FoxPolitics Blogroll that appears on the left side of every web page, to feature the sources I use most regularly.
If you haven’t used the “Search Our Site” feature on each FoxPolitics.net page, you may want to try it. If you think you remember a link to a news or opinion article, or a FoxPolitics blog you read - or are looking for a quick list on any given topic, give it a try. The search hits all the words of every FoxPolitics blog, as well as the words of the headlines of news links that have appeared in FoxPolitics News. Most linked news articles are still accessible, with the exception of Gannett publications, which archive (access provided only for a fee) their articles usually about three months after first appearing.
I’ll miss my extensive news-gathering time, but more than that, I’ll miss “talking” with you via the news every day! The time in Florida will be a good time to ponder future opportunities – and I’ll surely let you know when/if FoxPolitics News comes back following my month away.
Thank you, thank you, for your great interest in the political and policy news of the day!

I don't always agree with you but its always better to read both sides. You keep us all thinking. Hope you return to FP.
And God bless the USA!

Dave (Fri Jan 28 16:07:30 2011)
First of all Jo, thank you very much for everthing you've done to keep us informed the past 4 years. I've enjoyed checking your site daily for news I want to read about.
A good manager once told me "family comes first" and that is something we all need to remember as we try to balance our busy schedules and manage our time.
Take a break, you deserve it!
While I hope you'll crank up FoxPolitics.net again someday, I can understand if you don't. I know you've poured your heart and soul into the things you feel strongly about and I really respect that. Also, I admire your energy level, passion and commitment to what you believe in.
God bless you and your family.

Chris Croatt (Fri Jan 28 17:33:08 2011)
All blessings to you as you go to FL, Jo. We'll be thinking of you and offer prayers for all family members.
