Frank Lasee a candidate for the 8th?

Rumor has it that Rep. Frank Lasee (R-Green Bay) is eyeing a run for the 8th Congressional seat against other possible-runs (former Assembly Speaker) John Gard and (former Green Bay Mayor) Paul Jadin. Lasee has touched on the news as he probes for support in the upcoming campaign cycle from influential political types throughout the region.

In addition to Gard and Jadin, Representative Steve Wieckert (R-Appleton) is known to be eyeing the job, as he did two years ago, yielding of course, to Gard. Wieckert and Lasee shared an apartment in Madison for years and know each other well; it might be a good assumption that Wieckert will be part of the Lasee decision as summer months wane.

Whatever the ultimate decision, however soon a formal announcement might come, Lasee’s mulling can’t come any too soon. The current occupant of the 8th, though seen as “vulnerable” by the kingmakers in D.C., has never stopped campaigning – and surely won’t give up his seat without a huge fight.

    COMMENTS

Please Please let it be so! Talk about the dream team for a democratic win in the 8th, both Gard and Lasee two of the most radical right wing hacks this state has seen in a long time right when the country is very tired of Republican apologists. Don't get me wrong Kagen isn't exactly the worlds best candidate either but he has lots of money and now the power of being the incumbent. If I were Steve Kagen I'd be very happy with this news.

BTW where did you find such a flattering photo of Lasee?
Succinct comments. Hmmm. Photo is from Rep. Lasee's web site. Subscribe to Lasee's web site and you get a varying array of self-focused photos.
